2012 Newsletter Page 1

Hello Comrades & Sisters, Well here we are already in the second month of 2012. I must say the Post is looking good in more ways than one. The last wave of our winter family are all here and adding to the atmosphere. The Post and both Auxiliaries are looking good in membership, of course the Ladies are well out in front, but we are gaining on them. Keep your eyes on the Post Newsletter for month happenings. This should be a very interesting month for Apache Junction with the Lost Dutchman Days later in February, but also with the Birthday of our State on February 14th. After the parade on February 25th we'll be having hamburgers and hot dogs just like most birthdays. Maybe even a special birthday cake. We received a challenge from the State Commander for each member at our Post to sign up a friend to the VFW. This would be a fantastic thing, but realistically we know that won't happen. Right now we only need 31 more members for 100%, so at least we can that a goal. With all that said, I hope everyone is enjoying our Post and the activities we are having for the month. If you have an idea or something we can do for a special project, please let me know. That's all for now, see you in the Post Yours in Comradeship, Frank Page, Post Commander |
